Announcing the Prayer Team

Call for Conference-wide Participation

The Chair of the Global Methodist Church Prayer Steering Committee, Pastor Laura Ballinger, has reached out to this conference for persons to help extend this ministry throughout the denomination. We are excited to have two individuals respond to this call, Ms. Crissie Chenette and Ms. Jan Floro.

Crissie and her husband, William are members of Christ Church Methodist in College Station, Texas, where she serves in the prayer ministry. She has served on the prayer team at two previous churches and at the New Room Conference.  Crissie began learning about praying scripture as an adult and discovered a love for praying with others.

Jan and her husband, Dennis, are members of First Methodist Conroe. Jan’s earliest memories of prayer are of hearing her parents pray scripture over her at a very young age. She now finds herself praying scripture over their children and grandchildren and praying that this will continue for future generations.

They are beginning their work establishing the Conference Prayer Team. Its role is to ensure that the Global Methodist Church and the work of the conference are covered in prayer. The objective of this team is to equip, enable, and encourage each congregation to be intentional, passionate, and growing in personal, corporate, and intercessory prayer.

We invite each congregation to begin to identify a laity or clergy Prayer Contact to connect with this Conference Prayer Team. You may contact this team via connect@trinitygmc.org
